Diamond Bessie - silk scarf based on a book - LAST TWO

"Diamond Bessie" silk scarf just landed in the stock room. 

I had the privilege to work on a special commission. I was asked by the American author Jody Hadlock to create a painting based on her novel "The Lives of Diamond Bessie". The painting was transformed into a beautiful silk scarf. 

The book is based on a true story of Irish Immigrant Annie Moore known later as Diamond Bessie. Annie originally came from county Cork and immigrated with her parents and siblings to the US in the middle of 19th century. The scarf is full of symbolism derived from the novel. Every scarf comes with a book. Only 6 available!
